[jacorb-developer] Thread Pool Exhausted Messages in Jacorb

Hello,

We continue to get the following messages in the log messages , Is there a way to disable this ? We are using Jacorb 3.0

Earlier we had jacorb.poa.thread_pool_max set to 20 and warning messages was less frequent but after we changed it to 1 , we keep on getting this messages very frequently.

[RequestController-2] jacorb.poa.controller WARN - Thread pool exhausted, consider increasing jacorb.poa.thread_pool_max (currently: 1)

Reason of changing to thread_pool_max from 20 to 1 was that we were getting call backs in out of order from the server (CORBA C++ Server) .

Any insight would be helpful.

Thanks,
Prakash R

You could alter the logging level but that would be global. I would
recommend using JacORB 3.8 as 3.0 is quite old.

Thanks Nick,

Are we referring to this parameter jacorb.log.default.verbosity. ?

I had set this to 0 but was not helpful.

Also is the ordering of callbacks guaranteed in sequence in Jacorb (Call backs are coming from a multithreaded Corba C++ server on RHEL)?

Thanks,

Prakash R

That would be the one ; it does work on the demos so perhaps there is
something in your application affecting it? Could you narrow down the
problem to a test case for me?

I _think_ they should be ordered but I haven't tested it. Test cases
welcome :-)
